I am honored that I wake up every day and have the opportunity to make a positive impact both on the health of my patients’ smiles but also on the confidence that inevitably beams through.”

 

As the daughter of two doctors, it was only natural that Dr. Maryam was drawn to helping people from an early age; her parents instilled a strong sense of compassion and the desire to pursue medicine. She graduated from Stony brook University in New York in 2006 with a degree in biochemistry. She then found that she loved the bond and long term relationship that dentistry allows you to make and was intrigued at the broad interconnection between oral and systemic health. So, she went on to pursue dentistry at Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry graduating at the top of her class in 2010. She continued to practice in Detroit until 2015 when she met and married the love of her life (an Idahoan) and moved to Boise shortly thereafter. She wasn’t sure what to expect having never been to Idaho before, but Dr. Maryam continues to be amazed at the love and kindness demonstrated by the people of Idaho on a daily basis.

 

Dr. Maryam is a member of the American Dental Association and prides herself on staying up to date on the latest technology in dentistry by attending continuing education meetings and conferences regularly. She has taken a particular interest in Cerec training allowing her to make same day crowns and never sending a patient home with a broken tooth! It has been Dr. Maryam’s dream to open her own practice. She has always thought of her patients’ as her family and now, with her own practice, she can ensure that the level of care given to each patient is up to the quality she would offer to her own family. “My patients are the reason I come to work every day,” and it is important that her patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for at every visit.

 

Dr. Maryam has a young daughter, Donia, who is quite the handful! Donia loves dancing and going for walks on the greenbelt with mom and dad. Dr. Maryam loves spending time with family and looks forward to making each one of her patients’ family too.
